Georgia Heistad, longtime office chief at White Lake, honored

The heart of the White Lake school district skipped a beat Tuesday. Students and staff assembled for a surprise assembly honoring Georgia Heistad, who is retiring as school secretary at the end of the current year, capping a 24-year career.
