The Finance Personnel and Legislative Committee met for their monthly meeting on Wednesday night, and denied a request from BP South, a convenience store located on Superior Street in Antigo, to sell hard liquor at the store. Requests of this nature from convenience stores have been denied since the first one in 2002. Committee members said doing so would open up a can of worms, and it would also increase the chance for robberies.
