Felon with loaded weapon threatened to harm himself

According to news reports, a man who was threatening to harm himself with a loaded gun was wrestled down without incident on Tuesday night. A family member, an officer with Antigo Police Department and an officer with Langlade County Sheriff's Office wrestled with the man to get the gun out of his possession. The incident took place at rural Antigo home. He will likely be facing new charges from the incident. He is already on probation and was wanted for a warrant. Drug evidence was found at the residence and the man is a convicted felon, so he is not be in possession of any firearms. Law enforcement took the man to a local health care center to get treatment.
