Employee who stole cash placed on probation

A former Antigo man accused of stealing $100 from his employer was placed on probation for two years after entering pleas of guilt to counts of theft and obstructing an officer.

According to documents filed in Langlade County Circuit Court, Derek Sparby, 24, of Marshfield took the money from a till at Arby’s restaurant. When confronted he fled on foot and was ultimately captured by police.
