The Elcho board of education is moving forward with a facilities study that could determine the needs—and scope—of future building projects and school referendums.
At a meeting this week, the board of education hired SDS Architects of Eau Claire to conduct a comprehensive facilities studies of the school complex. The work, which will be completed over the next six to nine months, will include a look at the heating and electrical systems, the condition of the 1938 elementary building, and the aging boilers.
In conjunction with the district’s Community Facilities Task Force, the firm will also make recommendations and a timeline for future projects.
