It's not often that you hear about a drug bust at an ice-fishing shanty -- but it happened over the weekend in north central Wisconsin. A Lincoln County sheriff's officer was checking the shacks on Lake Alexander near Merrill when he noticed a strong odor from one of the shanties late Saturday night. Just before the deputy could go inside, a vehicle arrived -- but officials said the driver tried to high-tail it away when spotting the officer. The deputy stopped the vehicle, and found two offenders -- an 18-year-old who was violating a probation by drinking, and a 17-year-old wanted on a warrant in neighboring Marathon County.
