In the quickest budget meeting in recent memory, the Antigo Common Council Wednesday approved a 2015 spending plan topping $13.9 million, supported by a levy of $3.4 million.
Action came at the council’s regular monthly session, which lasted under 10 minutes in the chambers at City Hall.
The budget action was quick in part due to a special meeting devoted to the package held in late September, and by the lack of any major new spending initiatives. Aldermen had also been urged to contact the clerk-treasurer’s office with questions prior to the vote.
