City to keep emergency services, talks continue

The Antigo Common Council Wednesday voted to continue talks with Langlade Hospital over financing for ambulance service, while stressing that the emergency operations will remain a city system. On a 5-4 vote, aldermen approved a motion authorizing Mayor Bill Brandt “to explore financing options for ambulance with Langlade Hospital” while striking out language that would have included a possible hospital-based service.
