The city is embarking on an admittedly long-range project to turn a downtown eyesore into an asset.
At this week’s meeting of the Inland Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District, Director of Administrative Services Mark Desotell unveiled plans for the restoration of Spring Brook from the Fourth Avenue dam to Seventh Avenue, including potential uses for the steel girders protruding over the creek in the 600 block of Fifth Avenue.
