City donates burial spot for remains found in 2010

Archaeological remains uncovered during the excavation for a home foundation will be reburied, with a proper marker in Elmwood Cemetery following action by the Antigo Common Council Wednesday. At a speedy March session, aldermen unanimously approved a request from the Wisconsin Historical Society to have the city donate a single burial space in the Elmwood Cemetery pauper section for unclaimed remains found near the city.
