Bradley Maahs, involved with Antigo teacher bust, gets sentenced

After a consolidation of cases in both Langlade and Shawano Counties, Bradley J. Maahs, age 47 was sentenced in Langlade County Court Tuesday. Maahs, who was charged with manufacture or delivery of of marijuana received a sentence of six months jail time and 150 hours of community service. Four additional counts against were dismissed. Maahs was growing plants at his home in Wittenberg. Marijuana related items were found including papers, seeds, plant food and grow stations at the home. Maahs will be able to leave jail on huber to go to work, he will also be under the supervision of the department of corrections for two years. He is required to undergo alcohol and drug assessment and any couseling that is recommended. If Maahs violates his probation/supervision, he may be sent to prison. A 3 year prison term, with 1 1/2 years of initial confinement and 1 1/2 years of extended supervision was imposed and stayed. Maahs was one of the men involved in the marijuana drug bust with teachers and former principal John Lund from Antigo and Merrill school districts.
