Bonds set for various crimes

Court commissioner Melinda Olsen set bonds for some criminal cases in Langlade County on Monday. Jacob McGhee, 22, of Lincoln Street received a $1,000 signature bond for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Law enforcement found a bag with approximately 23.6 grams of pot and 4 pot pipes in his vehicle during a traffic stop. His next court appearance is set for July 22. A $1,000 signature bond was set for Debra A. Cook, 57, of Mapleview Road, for violating Class B or C license by allowing patrons to drink after hours. Officers went to the Racks Bar n Grill tavern on May 3 to serve a warrant on an employee there and found 3 people sitting at the bar with drinks at 2:20am, which is after the required closing time. Cook was not present at the time, but, bartenders had been warned previously. The next court date is set for July 22. Matthew West-Waldner, 18, of Schofield received a $500 signature bond for theft. He allegedly took a cellphone that was ordered by another person at the home. He will return to court on July 29. A $250 signature bond was set for Sharon K. Resch, 63, of Fourth Avenue for a harassment charge due to a problem with her neighbor. Her next court appearance is scheduled for July 22. Josh R. Griffin, 34, of Aniwa, received a $1,000 cash bond for a fourth offense of operating while intoxicated. He was riding a motorcycle and was stopped for speeding. He is set to return to court on July 22.
