Bail set at $10,000 for teen cited for beating boy with bat

A young Antigo man accused of striking a teen with a baseball bat over concerns he hadn’t been paid $100 for a marijuana delivery remains jailed in the local lockup awaiting a second appearance today in front of Langlade County Judge Fred Kawalski.

Bail was set at $10,000 cash Monday afternoon, less then 24 hours after 18-year-old Dylan T. Madderom of 235 Park St. allegedly beat his 16-year-old victim about the head and chest, requiring transport to St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield for further observation and treatment. Although serious, officials did not believe the injuries to be life-threatening.
