After consulting students, board approves a new eight-period day

The Antigo school board turned to its student representatives Tuesday night, quizzing them about the ramifications of an eight-period day before deciding to advance the money-saving proposal. The board also voted to significantly reduce post-retirement benefits for long-term staff members, a move that, when coupled with more instructional duties, caused concerns among some board members, particularly Joe Kretz.
