25-ton weight limit placed on Pearson bridge

The Langlade County Highway Department has posted a 25-ton weight restriction on the County Highway T bridge over the Wolf River, just west of Pearson. During a scheduled routine check, the county's certified bridge inspector found significant corrosion on steel piles which support the bridge deck, and an engineering firm performed structural analysis to determine the effect on the capacity of the structure.
