130 days jail time for criminal damage and other crimes

An Antigo man was sentenced in Langlade County Court to 130 of jail time for crimes including criminal damage to property. Kyle J. Champion of Lincoln Street, age 20, had been arrested on April 25 after breaking out a car window downtown and taking a purse that was inside. The purse was later found hidden at Champion's residence. A pot pipe was also found in the home. He pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal damage to property, bail jumping and possessing drug paraphernalia, while the theft count was dismissed in a plea agreement. Older charges were also heard, a drug paraphernalia charge from 2012 and 3 counts of driving after revocation brought Champion a $400 fine plus costs and restitution of $463.35. In unrelated cases, Chloe Ross of Watersmeet Michigan, age 18, received a fine of $100 plus court costs for a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Devin J. Gress of Polar, age 17, received a fine of $100 plus costs for a charge of possessing an illegally obtained prescription.
