Successes close local wolf zones

Wisconsin is closing the wolf hunt season in two zones that blanket the northeastern part of the state, including Langlade County, after quotes have been reached. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources said it was closing the zones Friday when hunting and trapping hours end. The quota for Zone 2, which encompasses the far northeastern corner of the state, was set at 20 wolves and the decision to close it came after 18 were killed. Full Story: Antigo Daily Journal
