Sex offender to be released in Langlade County

The Antigo Police Department has issued a press release to notify the public that a convicted sex offender is being released from prison and will reside in Langlade County.

Jerry W. Meade is set to be released on April 22. He will be under the supervision of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections until 2023. He will be subject to electronic monitoring and must remain registered with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry for life.

He was convicted of having forced sexual intercourse with a young female.

The conditions of his release are:


No contact with minors, no contact with victims, no use of alcohol or drugs (including no taverns, bars or liquor stores).


He must comply with electronic monitoring and sex offender rules.


He must comply with all requirements of the sex offender registry program.
