Renters of 'trashed' home may be prosecuted

An extreme case of renter neglect has grabbed the attention of the Antigo Police Department.

Chief Eric Roller said today that he will be conferring with the Langlade County District Attorney’s Office to discuss whether charges will be filed against a former Antigo family who left their rented home in utter shambles. It’s so bad, authorities said, that the Health Department has been contacted to determine if the residence is simply in need of a major cleaning or if something more drastic will need to occur.
