Person of interest jailed in local theft case

Antigo police have arrested an individual who has been deemed a “person of interest” in an investigation into dozens of thefts from unlocked vehicles.

The person, who has not been named, was taken into custody today as a result of a search warrant executed at a local home. The suspect remains jailed on probation hold.

In upwards of 60 vehicles have been targeted over the past several weeks in various areas of the city with another 10 residents adding their name to the list overnight.
