Man en route to prison refuses to leave cell

Langlade County corrections officers were put to a difficult task today.

An inmate scheduled to be transported from the local lockup to a state penetentiary put up a fuss, requiring assistance in his physical removal from his jail cell. Authorities said OC spray, otherwise known as pepper spray, and a Taser were used in the process.

The man was sentenced last week to a three-year term of incarceration on charges linked to a dispute, first with a family member and later with law officers, in November of 2013.
