Man cited for spitting at, threatening deputy

Bail was set at $5,000 cash here Monday for an Antigo man who after allegedly threatening a social worker, spit in the face of Langlade County sheriff’s deputy while being arrested for the initial offense.

Joshua Paff, 24, of 226 1/2 Deresch St. remains held at the local lockup accused of multiple crimes including a felony charge of throwing or discharging bodily fluids at a public safety officer.

Additional charges include obstructing an officer, disorderly conduct and five counts of bail jumping, four of them felonies. At the time of his arrest, Paff was already awaiting prosecution in five different cases.
