Local Habitat group looks for volunteers

Habitat for Humanity of Langlade County is at a very pivotal point, and is seeking volunteers and interested families to help it moved forward.

In the fall, Habitat completed its eighth home, and now plans are underway to begin building its ninth due in part to a grant from Thrivent Financial.

The group recently hired a full time VISTA staffer to assist the organization with community outreach and resource development during the 2015-2016 year. The affiliate also plans to launch what is known as the A Brush with Kindness Program this summer, which will focus on home repairs for existing homeowners in need.
