Local criminal cases cleared through pleas

A Crandon woman arrested as the result of a traffic stop in the town of Ainsworth in January will serve time in jail.

Tanya S. Cooper, 31, was sentenced in Langlade County Circuit Court this week to serve five days in custody after pleading guilty to a second offense of drunken driving. She was additionally fined $1,379 and had her driver’s license revoked for one year. Upon applying to have it returned, she must equip her vehicle with an ignition interlock device.

Cooper also pleaded guilty to a bail jumping count and was placed on probation for one year.
