Langlade County recent court activity (01.22.2014)

A few warrants were authorized for persons failing to appear. A few other cases were resolved on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Derek L. Rector of Tenth Avenue, 26, was found guilty of possession of narcotic drugs as a repeater and was sentenced to one year of probation. He must also go through alcohol and drug assessment with follow through.

Thomas J. Brand of Elm Street, 25, received a bond reduction from $2,500 cash to $750 cash for charges of entry into a locked vehicle, theft of movable property and disorderly conduct. He is scheduled to return to court on March 5.

Gilbert R. Hammer of Crandon, 56, was fined $100 plus court costs for operating while revoked.

Allen J. Fleischman of North Langlade Road, 22, failed to appear on a charge of possession of marijuana. A body only warrant was issued for his arrest. A hearing will be held in the future for possible forfeiture of the $200 bond he had paid.

Lacy Lynn Brogan of Pearson, 28, was sentenced to one year of probation for an amended charge of misdemeanor theft. She was originally charged with two counts of misappropriating ID information to obtain money. One of those counts was dismissed. She must also pay restitution in the amount of $466.46.

Thomas Lynn Crandall of Fifth Avenue, 46, was ordered to serve thirty days in jail and fined $1320 for a second offense of operating while intoxicated with a passenger under the age of sixteen. A second count was dismissed. He was also ordered to undergo alcohol and drug assessment with follow through, install an ignition interlock device on his vehicle for one year and thirteen months of drivers license revocation.

Anitra L. Pemma of Wabeno, 29, failed to appear in court on charges of operating while intoxicated fourth offense within five years and operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration fourth offense. A warrant was authorized for her arrest. A hearing may be held in the future for forfeiture of the $750 bond that she had paid.

Joshua J. Koutnik of Highway 64 Bryant, 34, was ordered to serve sixty days in jail for a second offense of operating while intoxicated. A second count of operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration second offense was dismissed. He was also fined $1,500 plus DNA surcharge and his drivers license was revoked for fourteen months. He must install an ignition interlock device on his vehicle for one year.
