Langlade County criminal court activity 03.26.2015.

Robert A. Wearing, 77, of Elcho, received one year deferred prosecution for manufacturing or delivering schedule I, II narcotics. If he succeeds in staying out of trouble for one year, the charge will be amended to disorderly conduct with a $100 fine.

Keith B. Munger, 25, of Bear Lake Road, received one year probation for possessing drug paraphernalia and deferred prosecution for possessing marijuana as a second or subsequent offense.

Joshua J. Bessert, 39, of Eland, was sentenced to six months jail for operating while intoxicated fourth offense within five years. He was placed on probation for two years and fined $1,774. His drivers license was revoked for 36 months. He must install an ignition interlock device on his vehicle for one year. He was also fined for failing to install or tampering with an ignition interlock device. Alcohol assessment was also ordered. Charges of operating while revoked and operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration were dismissed.



New charges filed yesterday:

James J. Pendleton, 26, of Superior Street, is charged with mayhem, three counts of misdemeanor bail jumping, criminal damage to property and substantial battery intending bodily harm. The incidents occurred on March 24. His bond is $10,000 cash with conditions of no use of alcohol, no contact with victim and no presence in taverns. He will return to court on March 30.



New charges filed today:

Cole W. Karnitz, 30, of Bryant, is charged with three counts of felony bail jumping. A $5,000 bond was paid. An initial appearance is set for April 6.

Daniel L. Stripling, 19, of Fred Street, is charged with resisting or obstrucing an officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 20.
