County will send three on Honor Flight

Two Langlade County residents will be among the three World War II veterans, 78 Korean War veterans and 10 Vietnam War veterans from central and northern Wisconsin who will travel to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials that honor their service on Monday.

The trip marks the Never Forgotten Honor Flight’s 20th flight since the first outing took place April 27, 2010.

Bud Houtman and Dale Peterson of Antigo will be among those on the flight. Both served in the Army during the Korean War. Houtman was a demotion and automotive corporal stationed in the U.S. and Alaska from 1950 to 1952. Peterson, also a corporal, was a radio operator from 1951 to 1953, stationed at Yokata Air Base, Japan.
