Council re-assigns Edison Club's lease

The Antigo Common Council Tuesday approved a new short-term lease agreement for the city-owned Edison Club Event Center, allowing the facility to remain open under new management as it seeks a long-term renter.

Aero Keys LLC, which operated the downtown dining and entertainment facility, has entered into a voluntary termination agreement of its lease effective Tuesday, and is working with Mayor Bill Brandt and city attorney Mike Winter to bring its obligations for the business current.

The company relinquished its various licenses needed to operate the club and aldermen awarded them to a newly-formed company, Marcody LLC, doing business as Edison Club Event Center. The list includes a Class B fermented malt beverage and intoxicating liquor, dance hall and amusement device permits.
