The Second Avenue water main, which suffered four breaks over the brutal 2013-14 winter, will get some much needed attention, perhaps as soon as September, following action by the Antigo Common Council Wednesday, aldermen approved a contract with MSA Professionals Inc. for $29,700 for the design and bidding phase to replace the water main located along Second Avenue from Aurora Street to Langlade Road, along with valves in the distribution system on First Avenue to the water tower.
