Bryant native selected for honor at Marquette

Elizabeth Hall will be honored with the Distinguished Alumna of the Year Award from Marquette University’s College of Nursing and the Marquette University Alumni Association in a ceremony on Friday, as part of Marquette’s Alumni National Awards weekend. Hall earned a degree from Marquette University in 1951.

She is a daughter of the late Walter and Ann Diercks of Bryant and was born and raised in Langlade County. She is married to Russell Hall, residing in Flossmoore, Ill.

Hall was inspired to endure in her career and make a difference for people after experiencing a near-fatal case of polio, which left her in a coma. Hall’s experience overcoming paralysis and inability to speak led her to dedicate her life to help people with disabilities.
