North Star’s banquet room was a busy spot Saturday evening.
The Boys & Girls Club of Langlade County held its annual fund-raiser, Cork, Forks and Brews, with rousing music by the Dueling Pianos U.K.Y., the sort of gambling that raises money for the boys and girls, and excellent food that certainly went past the hors d’oeuvres, state cheeses and a massive assortment of beer and wines to sample.
There was a live auction that featured golfing at the Bass Lake course, furniture, wildlife prints, LP gas, summertime chairs, a wine buffet, autographed Packer materials and prints and even a vacation package to sunny Scottsdale, Ariz.
