Becker gets jail time for outburst at hospital

Ryan Becker, 32, has been sentenced in Langlade County court for 3 charges relating to an incident at Langlade Hospital where his blood was spewed during disruptive behavior. Judge Kawalski sentenced him to serve 6 months in jail minus 123 days already served with 2 years of probation. He must pay restitution in the amount of $546. A 2 year prison term with 2 years of supervision was ordered but stayed. If he violates probation, he may be sent to state prison. The charges stem from his irratic behavior at Langlade Hospital in June. He was uncooperative and when told he would be taken into custody on a probation hold for being intoxicated, he became more disruptive. He ripped an IV from his arm causing blood to spatter. A nurse was accidentally struck with a needle. Police used a taser to get him under control. In an unrelated case, Crystal Ross of Plattsburg St., 20, was sentenced to 30 days in jail and one year of probation for possession of drug paraphernalia. She must also go through drug and alcohol assessment and follow through with any recommended treatment.
